SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS. |
You can submit anything that’s relevant to social and behavioral science, with no rules on the content, structure, or size of the data displayed. It can be a visualization you published or presented some time ago, it can be your latest research, it can be a stand-alone data visualization project you're doing just out of curiosity and for fun. Data can be anything - from quantitative - e.g., empirical logs of emails, co-authorship counts, regime breakdowns, to qualitative - e.g., steps in research design, visualizing field interviews, or mapping thought processes. You can show us the perspective of a single individual, or the behavior of millions, the strategies of one institution, or the paths to change of many different types of organizations. You can show us the temporal dynamics of a phenomenon, or the structure of ideas that span across country borders. Whatever you find interesting for the social and behavioral sciences, we’ll find interesting as well. You can contribute one or more visualizations, print, interactive, 3D, or all of them, single authored or in collaboration within or outside your institution or organization. Depending on how many submissions we receive this year, we will display one or more visualizations per participant. In case there is no space for more than one visualization per participant, the author(s) must indicate which is their preferred single visualization for print display, while the rest will be displayed on our online platform. After the exhibition is over, you get your printouts back and can share the interactive visualizations at your work, for educational purposes or just for pure entertainment. So feel free to explore, create, collaborate, and innovate! Technical Requirements |
Print Visualizations
We accept only vector files: PDF, EPS, SVG, AI, DXF (or images at 200 dpi or higher, 1:1 scale). The visualizations will be printed on A1 paper size (841 x 594 mm). To check the quality of your image, everything should be readable at zoom 300% in a PDF file. In the e-mail, please specify:

Interactive Visualizations
Host the interactive visualization on your website, and only send us the link to it. Interactive data visualizations allow users to explore a dataset for themselves. They employ different interaction methods, like providing details on mouseover, different coordinated views, panning and zooming, or others. Make sure you include in your visualization:
